*Career Counselling Session on Islamic Finance*

A career counselling session on Islamic Finance was organised for students of *Grades IX–XI,* providing them with valuable insights into an emerging and globally relevant field of finance.

The session was conducted by *Mr. Syed Siddiq Ahmed, Executive Manager – Standards Implementation and Regulatory Authorities Coordination at AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions), Bahrain.*

The session covered the *core concepts of Islamic Finance, the role and significance of AAOIFI standards, and the challenges and future prospects of the industry.*

Mr. Ahmed explained how Islamic Finance operates on principles of ethical financial practices, responsible investment and Shariah-compliant transactions.
With his extensive professional experience in Islamic banking, regulatory affairs, research and standards implementation, he gave students a practical understanding of career opportunities in this sector.

His professional journey, including his association with HSBC Group and CIBAFI, inspired students to explore diverse career pathways in finance, banking, research, compliance and regulatory services.

The interactive Q&A session enabled students to clarify their queries and gain a broader perspective on careers in Islamic Finance.

The session was highly informative and helped students make more informed decisions about their future academic and career choices.
